About Haiphong
Haiphong is northern Vietnam's gateway, serving Hanoi and the Red River Delta manufacturing belt roughly 100km inland. Like the southern ports it is river-constrained, with newer deep-water capacity at Lach Huyen built to take larger vessels directly. Choosing the wrong Vietnamese gateway adds a very long domestic road leg, since north and south are over 1,500km apart.
First Base Freight handles both import and export cargo through Haiphong — inbound from any country and outbound to any country. Indicative sea transit on our the UK lane is 29–35 days; transit on any other routing is confirmed at quote stage. For rates, container options and the wider Vietnam lane, including air freight and customs clearance, see the country page — or request a quote for this port.
