What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device. They are used to remember preferences, keep a site secure, and understand how a site is used.
Similar technologies — local storage, session storage and pixels — do comparable jobs, and this policy covers them too.
What we currently use
This website is deliberately light on cookies. It sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and it does not share browsing data with advertising networks.
- Strictly necessary — needed for the site to function, such as maintaining your session and protecting forms against abuse. These cannot be switched off and do not require consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.
- Preference — remember choices you make, such as a dismissed notice, so you are not asked twice. Set only in response to something you do.
- Analytics — used in aggregate to understand which pages are useful and where the site is slow. Set only if you accept them.
Third-party content
Our contact page embeds a map from OpenStreetMap so you can find our office. Loading it means your browser contacts that provider, which may set its own cookies under its own policy. We do not control those cookies and receive no data from them.
Consent
Under UK law we may set strictly necessary cookies without asking. Anything beyond that — analytics in particular — requires your consent before it is set, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
Where a consent banner is shown, your choice is stored so you are not asked on every visit, and you can change it at any time from the same banner.
Controlling cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, and block them for specific sites or entirely. The controls sit under Settings, usually within Privacy and security.
Blocking all cookies will break parts of most websites, including form submission on this one. Blocking third-party cookies alone is usually the better balance.
