About Laem Chabang
Laem Chabang is Thailand's main deep-sea container gateway, on the Gulf coast southeast of Bangkok. It sits within the Eastern Seaboard industrial zone, which accounts for a large share of the country's manufacturing, so for most cargo it is both the deep-water option and the shorter road leg. It replaced Bangkok's river port for large vessel calls.
First Base Freight handles both import and export cargo through Laem Chabang — inbound from any country and outbound to any country. Indicative sea transit on our the UK lane is 28–34 days; transit on any other routing is confirmed at quote stage. For rates, container options and the wider Thailand lane, including air freight and customs clearance, see the country page — or request a quote for this port.
