About Pointe-Noire
Pointe-Noire is the deepest natural harbour on the Central African coast and the only one in the sub-region able to take the largest vessels without dredging, which has made it a transshipment point for neighbouring countries as well as the Congo's own gateway. It is the coastal end of the railway to Brazzaville. Oil-sector project cargo moves here in volume alongside containers.
