About Tanger Med
Tanger Med sits on the Strait of Gibraltar and is one of the busiest transshipment hubs in the Mediterranean, which means much of what passes through it is changing vessel rather than entering Morocco. It is closer to the UK than any other African port and the sea leg is correspondingly short. Cargo actually destined for Morocco usually moves on by road from here to Casablanca or Tangier's own industrial zones.
First Base Freight handles both import and export cargo through Tanger Med — inbound from any country and outbound to any country. Indicative sea transit on our the UK lane is 5–9 days; transit on any other routing is confirmed at quote stage. For rates, container options and the wider Morocco lane, including air freight and customs clearance, see the country page — or request a quote for this port.
