About Manzanillo
Manzanillo is Mexico's busiest container port, on the Pacific coast, and sits closer to the Bajío manufacturing corridor than Veracruz does. From Europe, however, it requires a Panama Canal transit and a much longer sea leg, so the inland saving rarely compensates. It is the natural choice for trans-Pacific rather than transatlantic cargo.
First Base Freight handles both import and export cargo through Manzanillo — inbound from any country and outbound to any country. Indicative sea transit on our the UK lane is 28–34 days; transit on any other routing is confirmed at quote stage. For rates, container options and the wider Mexico lane, including air freight and customs clearance, see the country page — or request a quote for this port.
