About Eilat
Eilat is Israel's only Red Sea port, at the head of the Gulf of Aqaba, and reaches Asian and East African trade without the Mediterranean routing the northern ports use. It is small and its container traffic has always been a fraction of Haifa's or Ashdod's. Regional security conditions in the southern Red Sea have periodically interrupted services on this approach, so confirm the routing is running before planning around it.
First Base Freight handles both import and export cargo through Eilat — inbound from any country and outbound to any country. Indicative sea transit on our the UK lane is 18–24 days; transit on any other routing is confirmed at quote stage. For rates, container options and the wider Israel lane, including air freight and customs clearance, see the country page — or request a quote for this port.
