About Shanghai
Shanghai handles container traffic across two very different sites: the older terminals along the Huangpu and Yangtze inside the city, and the deep-water Yangshan facility out in Hangzhou Bay, reached by a road bridge some 30km long. Deep-sea services to Northern Europe call at Yangshan, because the river berths cannot take the largest vessels.
