About Lobito
Lobito has a natural deep-water harbour sheltered by a sand spit and is the Atlantic end of the Benguela railway, which reaches into the Copperbelt of the DRC and Zambia. That corridor is what makes the port strategically interesting beyond its own hinterland. Container volumes are well below Luanda's and services are less frequent.
