About Lobito
Lobito has a natural deep-water harbour sheltered by a sand spit and is the Atlantic end of the Benguela railway, which reaches into the Copperbelt of the DRC and Zambia. That corridor is what makes the port strategically interesting beyond its own hinterland. Container volumes are well below Luanda's and services are less frequent.
First Base Freight handles both import and export cargo through Lobito — inbound from any country and outbound to any country. Indicative sea transit on our the UK lane is 22–28 days; transit on any other routing is confirmed at quote stage. For rates, container options and the wider Angola lane, including air freight and customs clearance, see the country page — or request a quote for this port.
