About Djen Djen
Djen Djen is a deep-water port east of Algiers developed to take pressure off the older urban terminals, with more yard space and fewer draft limits than Algiers. Its hinterland is thinner, so inland trucking from here is longer for most consignees. It is the more comfortable option when Algiers is congested and the cargo is not time-critical.
First Base Freight handles both import and export cargo through Djen Djen — inbound from any country and outbound to any country. Indicative sea transit on our the UK lane is 9–14 days; transit on any other routing is confirmed at quote stage. For rates, container options and the wider Algeria lane, including air freight and customs clearance, see the country page — or request a quote for this port.
